Program Description
Develops skills in and introduces you to deep diving, underwater navigation and three to six other specialities you and your instructor choose.
This course is designed to further your diving knowledge and experience. Any person who has been certified as an Open Water Diver may enrol immediately. The course consists of five dives, two of which are classed as core dives, and three elective dives. The core dives consist of :
- A deep dive, where you will be required to complete tasks at a greater depth than you are used to and to compare the effects of greater water pressure.
- A navigation dive, where you will be shown advanced techniques using compass navigation and natural navigation.

The elective dives are dependant on the location of the dives, but could include wreck, night, search and recovery, boat diving, dry suit diving, underwater naturalist, altitude diving and many more. All equipment you have not already purchased, apart from knives and torches, will be included in the course (dry suits carry an additional charge). More Details .....
Duration : one weekend (all diving) Minimum age : 15 years old (no maximum age limit). Cost : £279
Alternatively you may wish to complete the course in stages by completing individual Adventure Dives. These can be tailored around free time and could include mid-week dives. Once you have completed five Adventure Dives you automatically qualify for the Advanced Open Water certification. Please contact the shop for details. Cost is £65 per Adventure Dive.
Manuals All required PADI manuals are supplied in the cost of the course and these are yours to keep on completion of the course.
